This is a place where various securities are traded(bought and sold).securities include shares of listed companies, debentures and government bonds. There are two main subsidiaries of this market i.e.
- Primary market – this deals with securities that have been issued for the first time and in this case money will move directly from the investor to company issuing the shares.
- Secondary market – second hand shares stocks, debentures and other securities are sold and bought (exchange).
N.S.E usually facilitates both primary and secondary issues.
