Goods are received from outside suppliers, from production department or from other stores within the organization.

As goods arrive, they are properly worked on

The amount of checking and recording depends greatly on the nature of the goods and the management techniques of the business
The extent of physical examination, weighing counting etc. of goods received should be set up in a way that is most economical way to avoid unnecessary delays or expenses.

RECEIVING OF GOODS FROM SUPPLIERS

The following process is followed during the receiving and inspection of goods

3. Product inspection
4. Receiving documentation
